The Ministry of Transport will conduct targeted engagement, seeking views from transport sector stakeholders, local government, iwi, and community groups. Feedback will inform advice to the Government on the first whole of government Emissions Reduction Plan to be released in December 2021, and the future transport emissions strategy.

All members of the public will be given the opportunity to provide feedback on Government initiatives to reduce transport emissions when the Government releases a draft Emissions Reduction Plan (ERP) for consultation in the 2nd half of 2021.

Consultation is open for six weeks until 25 June.
