Stuart Woods

Stuart Woods BE, MET(Dist), MEngNZ is the NZ Transport Agency’s Resilience Programme Lead, based in Christchurch. He has had over 30 years’ experience working in local government, consultancy and at the Transport Agency. Much of his career has been focussed in transport planning, policy and strategy development.

For the past four years, Stuart has been working on resilience of the transport system. Initial work included leading a business improvement programme for the state highways system, during which he developed and collated a range of tools and reference materials for addressing resilience issues. Recently he led the development of the Transport Agency’s Resilience Framework and has contributed to a range of transport resilience policy conversations and provided advice to a range of projects and business planning.
