Katie Mayes

Katie Mayes joined the New Zealand Transport Agency nearly two years ago and is co-lead for Arataki – the NZ Transport Agency’s ten year plan for the land transport system.  Katie previously worked for eleven years at Waikato Regional Council, most recently as the Strategy Manager where she was instrumental in supporting council set its strategic direction and the development of collaborative fora such as the Upper North Island Strategic Alliance, the Waikato Mayoral Forum and Waikato Means Business.  She has held national environmental and leadership roles in the forestry sector and her public and private sector experience has also involved Treaty settlements, environmental management and strategic planning.
